Golden Temple - Namdroling Monastery

The Namdroling Nyingmapa Monastery (or Thegchog Namdrol Shedrub Dargye Ling) is the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. Located in Bylakuppe, part of the Mysuru district of the state of Karnataka, the monastery is home to a sangha community of over five thousand lamas (both monks and nuns), a junior high school named Yeshe Wodsal Sherab Raldri Ling, a religious college (or shedra for both monks and nuns) and hospital.

Chiklihole Reservoir

Chiklihole dam is a small reservoir built across the river Chiklihole flowing through the Cauvery basin of Karnataka. The dam is located near the town of Nanjarayapattana that lies between Madikeri and Kushalnagar in the Kodagu or Coorg district of Karnataka. The best part about the location of the dam is that it stands at a distance of just 5 km from the Dubare forest.

Dubare Elephant Camp

Dubare is known for its elephant camp, a forest camp on the banks of the river Kaveri in the district of Kodagu, Karnataka. It is an important base for the Karnataka Forest Department's elephants.

There are opportunities for trekking, elephant interaction, and stay. These are hosted by Jungle Lodges and Resorts Ltd. (JLR). JLR is the ecotourism wing of the Tourism Department of Karnataka. In addition to the elephant training camp, Nisargadhama and Veerabhoomiare the other main attractions of the forest area.

Harangi Dam

The Harangi Reservoir is located near Hudgur village, Somwarpet taluk in Kodagu district in the Indian state of Karnataka.The reservoir is formed by a masonry dam built across the river Harangi, a tributary of the Kaveri.The dam is located about 9 km away from the heart of Kushalnagar town.
